@StefMurph , @sooner1981 , @crunchymama11 , can I join DFW Mexican food talk? I LOVE Mi Cocina for a more upscale Mexican meal, but my favorite place is Mercado Juarez (I think there are multiple locations...anyone else ever heard of it?)
I swear my brother used to visit us from Arkansas just so he could eat at Chuys.
When I went overdue with DS, my doula told me I should got to Joe Ts, get a margarita, and eat some tacos. She swore it "works every time," lol. I still have not tried Joe Ts; it's always too crowded.

We do try to aim for Joe T's during early lunch or during the week. I don't care how good it is, I'm not waiting forever to eat.
If you're at the Stock Yards anyway, that place at the end by the parking lots is pretty good (don't know the name). That's where I ended up the one time I tried to go to Joe Ts but found it too crowded.

I think they have 7 different dipping sauces (all free except Queso), but I recommended the Queso compuesto (it has beef, guacamole, pico de gallo in it). The tortillas are made onsite. Fairly inexpensive and very casual. I love the green chile rice and the green chile chicken enchiladas. You'll be 6 miles from one when you're at IKEA. It originated in Austin, but now they are all over the US--even Soonerville in Norman.
There are a few other places around there that are good, too.
La Hacienda Ranch - Mexican meets steakhouse. More upscale.
Cantina Laredo- more upscale, Tex-Mex
Blue Goose Cantina - I've heard they have good margaritas. I don't drink tequila, but thought I'd throw it out there.
I'm just catching up on TB from the weekend annnnd just so everyone's aware....the creamy jalapeno sauce is the correct answer when ordering at Chuy's. More often than not I end up only getting margaritas and gorging myself on chips and creamy jalapeno dip when I am there. and I regret nothing.
