I'm still waiting to hear back from the specialist that my MFM wants me to see to rule out schleroderma. I called my MFM's office to see if they could get any where and they're not having any more luck than I have had. Apparently this particular doctor typically only sees pregnant patients with Lupus, which I do not have.
We finally decided to go forward with making an appointment with a local rheumatologist just to get an appt on the books. My records are being sent there today and then I'll be able to schedule, but the receptionist said that I'm looking at a September appt at the earliest. UGH!!! Seriously? I'm just so incredibly frustrated. I had to wait a year before TTC again per my OB's orders and now it's looking like another 3 months at least. Had I known I would need to go through this process, I would have tried to see a rheumatologist during my one year wait. And we're 99.9% sure that I don't have schleroderma; MFM just wants to rule it out. I mean, I obviously hope and pray that I don't have it b/c it just means more complications for TTC and for life in general. But I really feel like we're going through all of this for no reason.
>:D< I'm sorry. That sounds incredibly frustrating. Is there any way you could get in sooner? Maybe ask to be put on a list to call in case of other cancellations?

I hope so. The receptionist said that if the doctor that reviews my file thinks that my situation warrants it, they can get me in sooner. Fingers crossed! And yes, I'm going to ask to be put on a list to be called in the event of a cancellation... definitely!
