I think DH and I need to have a serious "come to jesus" talk.  He has been the king of cracker eater land and I am sick of ritz crumbs everywhere.  He needs to start considering that there are other people in the house other than himself and those other people have feelings.

DH's family is starting to give me serious anxiety.  Neither of my SIL or BILs watch their kids or pay attention to what they are doing.  DH had a baseball game last week and all my nieces and nephews were running on top of the dugout and all over the stadium.  I couldn't even relax and watch DH because I was too busy policing all the children.  Same thing with DS's birthday party this weekend.  It was a bit of a nightmare and I am at my wit's end.

I saw a black squirrel with a red/orange tail on my lunch break.  I'm used to seeing grey squirrels and black squirrels, but not black with red tails.  I am intrigued by it.

Late to the party here, but congrats @EVA116‌ ! Hope the new gig is everything you hoped for!

I had such an embarrassing thing happen to me today. I will just say pregnancy/mom brain struck hard today.

DS and I drove a half hour to Gymboree class today and just as I was getting off the exit, my gas light came on (stupid me completely over looked the fact that my gas gauge was low- WTF#1). Went to pull into the gas station right off the highway, but it was closed to renovation- WTF #2. Scrambled to get to the next nearest gas station only to realize I left my god damn wallet at home (HUUUUGE WTF#3).

I asked the attendant if they could take a credit card over the phone (I was gonna call MH and use his card to buy gas), and they aaid they aren't allowed to do that (uhh rally?). Sooo...they ended up giving me 5 bucks worth of gas tp get my sorry ass (& my kid) home.

Needless to say I felt like such a fucking mooch. Thoroughly embarrassed. Also, I stashed 10 bucks in my car in case this type of emergency sitch ever happens again (which I hope it never does). MOTY right here, folks.

MrsT, that really sucks. I'm glad they were so kind as to give you $5 - that is awesome. You're not a mooch. You were willing to pay for it - tried to pay for it - but they couldn't accept your payment. Sure, they didn't owe you gas, but that still doesn't make you a mooch.

Keeping cash in the car is a really good idea, though.

I rarely have cash, but always try to keep at least 5-10 bucks stashed in the car.  My husband always finds it and wants me to take it out because he doesn't think I should leave money in the car, but first of all, it's only 10 bucks, and second of all, it isn't like I leave it sitting on the dashboard for all to see.

I know, shit happens, but ugh. I just hated feeling like such a charity case. It was a blow to my pride a bit. I cried on the way home. I'm thinking next week, when we're in the area for Gymboree again, I'm gonna stop in and repay the 5 bucks...out of principal, if nothing else.

Ugh DS was up all frickin night because of his ear infection. I am so tired. Plus I had so much anxiety this morning because I thought I was handing in that letter, now I am drained.

@Eva116 Haven't read past page one, & this is slightly shady coming from a HR person but a bonus is a bonus....Could you call in sick tomorrow, or have a "wedding emergency" come up that requires you to attend, & go on to your new job to be processed.  You are scheduled off Friday anyways, & by then your bonus should be processed & in your account.  & if you are really worried about it, take the bonus out of your account until you are free & clear from your current company (although I am not sure legally they can take it back once it hits your actual bank account)

I really hate this sign up for the bump banner thing at the top of every page.  It takes a second or two longer to load then the rest of the page, so I am always clicking on the wrong thing and the page is always jumping around.  Is there any way to get rid of it?

I realize that I could maybe just wait an extra second or two while it loads, but I am really busy and important and don't have any seconds to spare.

(I'm just kidding.  I am not busy or important, but I'm still really annoyed.)

Do you have the numbing drops? Those always worked wonders for DS and we went through 4 EI's this past winter, including a double one. The drops work instantly and are good for 3-4 hours. It was the only way we got any sleep at night. Ask if your Pedi will call in a RX for you.

I have never even heard of them. Can you get them over the counter?

I am going home early today. You have to be in good standing, as they put it, through the bonus pay date, which is today. I will put it in tomorrow morning first thing.

@PrivacyWanted  I have heard that if you have your child lay down with their eyes closed, you can just put the drops in the corners of their eyes and have him/her open eyes before standing up again.  Hope that helps!

Unless you get a child that absolutely hates even the idea of this and you need two adults holding the child and another child to keep that first child calm enough to take the drops. 

Not that I have any experience with that.

Truth.  I can't imagine any of my children holding still long enough for that,but it has to be better than trying to get drops in an open eye.
