Hey All! We found out I'm having a boy! We want a stylish /different name but nothing wacky or that can be found on a "Popular Name List." Any cute ones out there?
@MaxsMom9, Dexter would have been DD's name if she were a boy. I can't tell you how many times people mentioned naming my baby after a serial killer We still like it. It's still a contender if this ones a boy
I agree with the others who have mentioned the SSA website. DH and I want an “old fashioned” name so that website is a great source to see what the top baby names have been since 1880.
January 2014:BFP!!!! Ectopic pregnancy ruptured at 6wks1day. Left Fallopian tube removed. Noted during surgery the right Fallopian tube is severely damaged from 2004 ectopic pregnancy.
April 8 2014: IVF#1 w/ISCI: 10 received, 5 mature, 3 fertilized. Day 3 transfer of all three embies.
April 22, 2014: BFP! beta #1: 80 beta #2: 211 One nugget!
Just a caution, the ladies on the baby name board prefer very traditional names and have very little tolerance for unique/unusual names. They are a fabulous resource, though.
Ya, I actually found them quite rude on the baby name page... Especially because you are looking for something unique they will bash it. They also all suggest the same 20 names over and over again..
There is though, an app I downloaded called "baby names"... It's AMAZING! Names from all cultures, and they also list how popular the name is, which is really helpful. You can save your favorites as well! Good luck
My husband and I come up with a trait we would like our son or daughter to have and look that word in different languages. My sons name means "to produce or to carry"(as in to carry on a trait) in German. People either hate it or love it! We lean toward loving it!
We are going with August Brooks Lastname or Maddox Brooks Lastname.
My SIL wants to use Maddox but they're not trying yet and no guarantee it will even be a boy. She told me to go ahead and use it but they both love it and I feel weird using it now that I know.

I vote August! Love it...not that you asked for my opinion.
