Hand Washing

DD is 18 months so of course can't reach the sink or is still not tall enough with the step stool I just bought. How do you wash your LO's hands? I've tried picking her up and reaching her over the sink but it's hard holding her while trying to soap and wash her hands. I've been just using hand wipes but would like to get her used to actual hand washing. What do you do?

I have him sit on the counter. Put my arms around him and wash one hand at a time. I have even done messy feet this way after he runs around barefoot outside instead of hauling him up to the bath. 

Or a faucet extender.
