OB question

I called my doctor at 9 this morning because for the past week I've been overly exhausted. I got ten hours of sleep the last couple nights, and I'm still barely able to keep my eyes open by 8 pm. I've also been more frequent and intense headaches. I hadn't been called back by 3 pm, so I called again. The lady on the phone asked if it was worse, and I replied no, but I was wondering if there's something I could be doing. So she just replies that my doctor will call me. It's now 5 and they're probably closed. Should I call after hours or just wait until tomorrow?

I would wait. The fact that they're not calling back right away is probably a good sign that they think everything is ok. You might be slightly anemic, not getting enough b vitamins, or just plain tired from growing a baby. Wait til they call back...they may have you go in for blood work or give you suggestions on how to cope with the exhaustion.

Idk, the office I go to also closes at 5 and swore I'd get a call back. Doc actually called back at 8pm. I wasn't too hopeful so I was surprised when I got the call. I'd give it an extra hour after they close. With patients gone he/she has time to go over any messages/reports without interruption and see yours.

She ended up calling me about an hour later. She said my anemia might be getting worse, so she'll check my blood again at my next appointment. She just said not to worry in the mean time and to eat a high protein snack every 2 hours and stay hydrated. Thanks for your input ladies!
