Yeah. We're related. He's a nice guy in personality, and he has a good hart, but unfortunately his grammar is, well, like that...
I can't knock too hard on him-- he's always been fun to be around.

Yeah, this goes beyond lazy text speak.  This person can barely write (and, I would guess, read)  I know not everyone makes it through high school but how are kids moved up grade to grade when they clearly can't read or write on par (or even close) with their peers?
