I'm a medical mess!!!

Ugh! So I have been bleeding since the delivery (over 20 weeks ago!!!!). Daily until about 13-14 weeks and called the doctor. He wasn't concerned since I didn't have a fever. It finally became about every 10 days and lasted a few days. I was never sure if it was my period starting or what. Then last week, I started shedding tissue. Well, yesterday, I woke up about 7am with my underwear soaked in blood. I called my doc to see if I should go to the hospital or his office. At that point, the bleeding slowed down and he said the hospital would probably just do an ultrasound and that was all and he could do an exam too. I was able to get in for an ultrasound at 8:30 at the doc's office. Nothing big was found but the area the bleeding was coming from could be seen on the ultrasound. The doc thought it was related to breastfeeding and just thought since I may not be ovulating but the lining is thickening up that the blood was the lining shedding, a lot. He didn't feel anything unusual in the exam and really wasn't concerned. He wanted to do an endometrial biopsy just to see if anything comes up with that - guess his concern was any pieces of placenta still being left behind and he was shocked when a ton of tissue came out. The biopsy was super painful too and the insertion of the catheter into my cervix made my blood pressure plummet and I almost passed out. The doc is hoping the biopsy cleared everything out but is waiting on the results and I may need a d&c to clear out any remaining tissue (which makes me even more nervous because the d&c I had from my miscarriage caused scar tissue (asherman's syndrome) which is super rare but I seem to have all the luck). So fx I don't need another d&c. Just felt like sharing with you ladies and hoping for some good thoughts. The bleeding has slowed way down and I haven't passed anymore tissue since yesterday (hope that is a good sign). From everything that has happened to me (throwing myself a pity party - all invited) I am just so worried about doing this again in the future. I want more kids in the future (and I hope my body lets me) but it is scary. Sometimes I think my body just hates me! I'm bringing the margaritas to my pity party if you guys bring the food!

Oh wow! That must be so frustrating not knowing anything AND bleeding for 20 weeks? That's horrible. T&P's for you and FX that everything is cleared!

Oh no, sorry to hear and I can see how frustrating that can be. Hope they can figured out why your bleeding

Thanks ladies! I feel like a drama queen at times @peanutmuse but it s what it is! Hoping I don't need the d&c (that would be my break) but DH knows my luck and figures I should just prepare myself now for it.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. I too needed 2 D&C's due to retained placenta. But my issues were resolved at 6 weeks pp. I can't imagine bleeding for 20 weeks. U must be exhausted. I hope you don't need the second one & they find answers to your problem.

@MaryBB77‌ sorry you had to go through so much! I'm so confused on how it could be fragments. I did not have other symptoms...I breastfeed (I read breastmilk won't come in or there are supply issues) no fever. I don't understand any of it. I can't believe my doc let me go so long...I was shocked when he said (over the phone) normal and not to worry unless it continues for weeks. Who still bleeds 13weeks pp, let alone 20?!?!! Ugh! Hoping to get results soon.
