I tried the homemade weed killer. It didn't do a damn thing. Now I have almost a gallon of vinegar (with half a cup of salt and a splash of dawn in it) that is going to waste if I can't use it. Ideas?
I remember reading a message from someone from a local state extension office or something like that saying that the vinegar/epsom salt/dish soap "weed killer" was just plain bad for the soil because the vinegar is an acid which makes the soil acidic, the Epsom salts just add too much magnesium, and the dish soap....well that's as much of a chemical as the commercial weed killer that people are trying to avoid....and the whole thing does nothing for killing weeds....or it destroys the soil so that nothing grows.

I think a tiny bit of dawn mixed in a gallon of vinegar is not as chemically as dousing the stuff in Round Up..... it literally is like half a teaspoon.
I think I will just use it for my vinegar water cleaner. Do you think the salt would be an issue?
