No cook meals?

Do you guys have any healthy go to no-cook meals that LO likes?    I like to cook for LO but there are some days I am not able to.

One that works for me is:   Fresh fruit, hummus, and yogurt.

Thanks for the recs.

Re: No cook meals?

  • We do leftovers a lot too... or on the weekends I'll cook up a bigger batch of macaroni noodles so I can just microwave them during the week.  I've also found small containers of canned veggies that J loves! We'll also do deconstructed sandwiches (bread and lunchmeat).

  • I recently gave LO at hot dog.. he loved it and then some  canned green beans and some fruit on days where I dont feel like making much. very quick
  • Rachel would live on canned green beans if I let her.  She usually gets leftovers of what H and I ate the night before.  Hummus, yogurt and I can almost always find a minute to scramble an egg.

  • I periodically make batches of chicken nuggets, bean burgers, lentil and cheese wedges or meatballs and freeze them, pulling out and reheating a portion for the girls when the need arises. I also buy Dr. Praeger's fishies and spinach or broccoli littles. If I'm in a pinch I make scrambled eggs in the microwave, or a grilled cheese sandwich.

  • I use my crock pot a lot.  I make a pot roast that they love and it lasts 3 days for dinners.  I put a lot of veggies in it so it covers all the bases.

When im in a real jam, its a microwaved pot pie.  MOTY.

    Leftovers!

ETA also we keep chicken strips in the fridge so I'll do chicken strips, cheese and tomatoes sometimes.
This is the same meal we do all the time.  LO loves it!  The grilled chicken strips are so convenient.
  • Leftovers, grated cheese, deconstructed sandwich or I buy a cooked chicken and give her that with sliced tomatoes and cucumber.

I know this isn't "no cook" but I love Dr. Praegers Kids bites. Pop them in the oven or microwave if you're really in a pinch and done. They offer a variety of options that you keep in the freezer and the best part is they are all natural. Great for when you can't make them a meal. Throw in some fruit and voila - dinner is served!

We tried overnight oatmeal in the fridge last night, it turned out really good. (the one I did had shredded carrot, yogurt, milk, raisins, brown sugar and cinnamon). I put it in the microwave this morning for about 20 seconds (although it is very good cold too) and she seemed to really enjoy it.

Our Daughter loves Oatmeal, I make her Muselli overnight but would love the recipe to this...sounds delicious
