How do you feel about our daily Random Thread?

Since a number of people have expressed a feeling of being overwhelmed by our random threads, and cuz I have nothing else going in, I thought I'd post a poll about it

Personally, I'm starting to find it overwhelming, which is silly. I'm on the West Coast, so just got up and logged on. It's already 3 pages! Yet if I don't read it all, I feel like I'm missing out on what's happening today. But maybe I'm just being silly?

I'm on Eastern Time and by the time I get up there's usually more than a page. I can't figure out why it's always started in the MOTN. Didn't there used to be MOTN threads?

I'm a combo of 1 and 3. I love when it's random chit chat, but there's stuff in there that should/could be individual threads. If individual threads were started, people would get better answers and the thread wouldn't be so overwhelming. If you're asking legit baby questions -- what do I do with this breast milk that accidentally froze, what toys are appropriate for my LO, switching from bf to ep/ff, mommy preference, etc., I think that's thread-worthy.

I think a lot of times things that could merit their own thread end up housed there, which is a bummer. BUT, I will happily accept daily random threads as an alternative to that behemoth of a random thread that previously killed the board flow almost entirely.

I like the thread for random vents/whines/comments, but I think if someone wants to ask a question, that should always be a new thread, even if it's a random one! Because otherwise it gets really hard to follow.
