Everyone having a bad Monday?  Usually this thread blows up.

We had a bad weekend (I'm pretty sure my husband and daughter had food poisoning).  But everyone is doing better today.

I had two good moments this morning. 

My son went back to sleep after I deposited him in the crib this morning so that I could take a shower.  He has never done this before.  

As I was backing out this morning and my husband was loading up his car, my daughter turned back to wave to me and smile.  It's hard to believe she's starting to turn into a little person.

I FINALLY got my tax refund after almost 4 months...and my fluff that I bought from the swap thread arrived this am. My NB stash is complete!

IMMS that one of my first duties in my new job will be to give one of my employees a raise. She is an awesome worker, that I really respect so that makes it even better.

Also G has learned the difference between hot and cold. So anytime you light the grill or turn on the oven he points and says "ouch, hot" and anytime you open the freezer or put on his jacket he says "cold?" So adorable.

We haven't seen my brother for a while.  DD#2 is wearing a bright orange tank top today and I coincidentally put on her BB camouflage diaper.  Which totally reminded me of my brother because he is an avid sportsman and also loves Duck Dynasty.  So I took a picture of her and texted it to him saying: "Hi uncle A...just wanted to show off my blaze orange shirt and camouflage diaper!"  He immediately responded "Looking good"  That made me smile!!

It made me smile that daycare didn't charge us for last week since L was sick. She even suggested that he only come one day this week since my half-time to 3/4 time job doesn't start till next week. Yes! I would love to spend more with my baby since I thought I was locked into these last two weeks of daycare.

Also, I'm excited for L and I to use some art materials that we just ordered. We have liquid watercolors and sacred basil seeds on the way to make this activity: https://www.funathomewithkids.com/2013/10/safe-edible-non-chokable-mini-water.html?m=1

IMMS Saturday when I went for a pedicure with a friend, and it turned into a surprise birthday party/ baby shower for me at another friend's house. Then Sunday DH finished putting the new outlets in the nursery and got all the furniture moved in. I feel so relieved that we finally have a room started for DS2!

My H got a new job at his company!!! No more 12 hour days and no more Saturdays and Sundays! He will be able to see our lo way more after he is born!!!!!!!

Baby kisses make me smile. M takes our faces in his hands to pull our head toward him. It really makes my heart melt

IMMS that yesterday (LO's 11 mo old day, though 9 mo adj) started calling me "mama" with purpose. As in, sitting in dad's lap, outstretching her arms toward me and calling, "mama!"  Love it so much!

IMMS that I made it through the first day with two kids at home by myself without too much stress.

I was really worried that I was going to be in crazy stress mode before lunchtime with a newborn and 2 year old, but it wasn't too bad. Here's to hoping the rest of the week (and summer) goes well too! :-)
