I had to look it up this is what I found

 

Directions

1.Go to the store and buy a red cabbage. The size of the cabbage does not matter at all.
2.Cut the cabbage into big chunks. The smaller you cut the chunks, the better your results will turn out.
3. Boil some water on the stove and put in the chunks of cabbage.
4. Let the water and cabbage boil for about 10 minutes or so. When the ten minutes is up, remove it from the heat.
5. Grab a cup and go to the bathroom! Pee into the cup.
6. In a separate cup, mix 1 part of your urine to 1 part of the water that the cabbage was boiled in. No need to save the cabbage unless you want to eat it. It's pretty tasty, so you might want to eat it!
7. If the urine/cabbage water turns pink or red then this indicates a boy result! If the urine/cabbage water turns purple, this indicates a girl result.

I already know that I'm having a boy but I kind of want to do to this just to see if it's right...plus I'll eat the cabbage after so it won't be a total waste of my time! Lol

I'm sure it's 50% accurate.  I'm all for old wives tale predictors for the sake of fun, but this one seems like way too much effort for me to ever consider it.

I read about this one a while back when I was trying out old wives tales, it seemed like way to much work.  I did try the ring over the belly and baking soda test, both said boy but it was just for fun, I don't actually believe any of them.  My u/s is in 3 weeks, I'll just wait til then

Is this a gender test or Pinterest recipe for cabbage stew :-/  Tooooo many steps for a test that is not even accurate.

I tried the baking soda test and my dh was so disgusted i wonder what he would think if i tried this one!!! Lol

Haha, I can't imaging this being a real way to tell at all.....but if it is it could work two fold....anyone still having potty issues?? Eat the cabbage!!!!
