I have the EnJoye, which is basically the same pump, and I love it! It's really durable and it's a closed system so you can sell it or give it away once you're done using it. It's also got a three year warranty, so by the time it runs out, you'd qualify for a new insurance pump anyway.
A couple of things to keep in mind: its collection bottles are wide-mouthed and not ideal, so I use the adaptors so that you can use regular-width bottles with them. Also, you control both the speed and suction, so you have to pay attention to the way your baby gets milk so you can mimic it while you're pumping. Oh, and if milk gets into the tubing, you can just rinse it and let it dry. You can do that with essentially any pump; I had Medela with the first kid and had to do that sometimes with that one, too.
I have it and haven't had any issues. My daughter is 8 months old, and we are still going strong with breastfeeding and pumping while I'm at work. It comes with adapters for the shields to make them compatible with medela collection bottles.
Thanks for the feedback. I have the Q but have only used it a few times. My LO is 9w old and I just started using it more to build up a stash before going back to work. However I don't even get letdown anymore with it and barely get an ounce from each side. I used my medela manual pump right after using the Q and got 4oz from the manual! The first couple times I used the Q I had no issue getting several oz from each side. Maybe I just have to play with the suction speed??? Or could it be my body is not used to the pump suction vs my LO's suction?
I have one and love it. I exclusively pumped for the first 4 weeks for my twins. I had a suction issue, and after calling customer service, they overnighted a new pump to me. I haven't had any issues with it since.
I have it and really like it. It gets the job done pretty quickly-10 minutes max for me. If you are losing suction or noticing a drop in what you can pump try replacing the white "duck bill" valves. Hygeia recommends replacing them every 6-8 weeks to maintain good suction.
