Home Best Resters - what's your schedule?

My partner is going back to work tomorrow (knock wood!), and I am hoping to start to establish a routine around working from home, visits and other things to try to maintain my sanity. I am fortunate to be allowed to get up to go to the bathroom or change locations (ie. bed to couch, to spare room/office) but obviously my goal is to be down as much as possible.

What does your day look like? Do you have a routine? Any tools that are important to your day?

Re: Home Best Resters - what's your schedule?

  • I'm not going to share my schedule because I have a toddler, so not relevant to you yet :)

I just wanted to say that I shower and get dressed (even if it's just a different set of comfy clothes) every day. Also I have a reclining chaise lounge on the patio and make sure I spend some time out there daily too.

  • Breakfast, shower, move to the sofa, snack, lunch, nap in bed, snack, dinner, snack, bedtime :)

In between I read, watch tv, play on my tablet, chat and stair at the ceiling while moaning about how uncomfortable I am.

I was on a modified form of bedrest.  I wasn't allowed to go into work, clean the house, exercise, etc., but I was allowed drive myself to doctor's appointments and to the pharmacy to check my blood pressure.  My doctor didn't want me on actual bedrest because of the risk of blood clots, but I was basically told that unless I had an appointment or something, I was supposed to go from bed, to couch, to bathroom, and that's it.

I would watch Netflix, read, nap--that's what I probably did the most, grade papers/lesson plan for my substitute, do my daily blood pressure checks, go to the doc for NSTs, bloodwork, ultrasounds, etc.
