My husbands name is Wesley. He's a junior and originally, if we had a boy, he wanted him to be a third. I was totally against it for several reasons and after talking it over he agreed. We're team green so we're thinking about boy and girl names. Although we've eliminated Wesley for a boy, we thought maybe it would be neat if we did Weslie for a girl. What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Do you want to throw giant flame throwers at me?

@FaerieFaye OP was asking for opinions, so that's what the board gave her. Just lurking a bit anyone can see that this board doesn't sugarcoat it, and by the looks of OP's post about wanting to throw flamethrowers at her it looks like she was prepared for the response.
You could give her Wesley as her middle name or just save the name for a future boy if you plan to have more children.

I can understand the opinions coming across pretty strong. However I've been around here a bit and know that those opinions are a possibility. It's hit or miss when you come out with something unconventional on here. It's either loved or gets hardcore shot down. @fairyfaye thanks for your suggestion and defense but @macchiato is right. I was pretty prepared for what I got. Harsh or not I know how it goes on here. I know I have some different taste in names. I like to see how they are accepted though. Good, semi harsh or "flame thrower" lol. Jeez I named my daughter Tallulah 4 years ago and I can't even tell you the backlash I got for that IRL. Now everyone loves it.
