In the past several months, I have had countless "Is this really my life?" moments in regards to Harper's health and my other personal issue, but never more so than today when Merc showed up at my house with a pretty white basket full of love.
I have always relied on the written word since I tend toward being shy and socially awkward, but all words are failing me now. I am speechless. Your generosity, kindness, and thoughtfulness have buoyed my spirits in ways that can't be described.
My goal for my daughter is that she grows up in a world where she knows compassion and kindness and that she pays it forward. I've feared that I won't have the knowledge or skills to show her these things on my own. Today I realized that I won't have to - every one of you will instill these things in your little ones, and they will help perpetuate your kindness. Today, I am hopeful.
I am honored and humbled to be lifted up in support and solidarity by such amazing women. Thank you.
