OMG...

The package arrived today... The handmade wetbag and taggie blanket are SO cute! You are so talented. And the handmade bamboo prefold is soooo soft!

I can't wait to try out the fitteds, prefolds, and covers that you were so generous to let us borrow since we are having such a hard time with leaks so far. You are too sweet!

ETA: Now I need to know what fold everyone recommends for a newborn. Thanks!

  • Wow, that shipped quickly! You are so welcome! I really hope the fitteds and prefolds help. And let me know what fold you wind up using. I've always heard jelly roll is great for NB's, but I haven't actually tried it yet.  Oh, also, I meant to put a note that everything diaper-wise has been washed in Tiny Bubbles, but some of it got washed months ago, so you might want to run them through a quick cycle to freshen them up.

  • I used angelwing fold a lot during NB -- it was just nice and fast. DS has always been a kicker, so he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to master jellyroll.

Bikini twist is nice if you need to take up an inch or so of extra rise.

@Mapleme I don't have experience with flats on a NB, but I do remember that Jo fold and Mini-kite fold got mentioned a lot during the flats challenge as favorites for NBs. Sorry I can't post links at the moment, DS is being a bit of a terror at the moment. It took me an hour to write this post.

@unaveragejane‌ There are 2 purple edge prefolds, where one side looks like usual quilted prefold, but the other side looks smooth and fluffy and not quilted. What are those? Which side goes next to baby's skin? TIA!

Those are Osocozy Stay-dry Better-fits. Either side can go toward baby, but the funky non-quilted side is the stay-dry.
