1st Trimester

scared

Hi all :-).
Im new to the site, so not really sure which forum this should go in......l found out monday that im pregnant again with my third child. I already have daughters of 9 & 4. I also have two step children that live with me who are 10 & 8. I have a scan on Monday to see how far along I am. With my daughters when I found out I was pregnant I was completely fine/normal about it. But this time im so so scared! Ive gone from looking at all my options for this pregnancy to looking at baby items. Im completely all over the place. My partner is fine & happy. I guess it would be great to hear from anyone else who felt like this or any advice would be great. Thanks :-)

I was scared when I found out yesterday that I am pregnant. I think it s pretty normal for anyone to be scare or nervous. I'm more nervous now because I found out in December that I was pregnant. 3 weeks later On December 23rd I miscarried. I wish all the best for you.

  • Were you trying to have another baby?

With this pregnancy, my boyfriend and I were trying for a few months, then finally decided we were going to just wait for a while and focus on other things. Of course I got pregnant that month, ha ha. Even though we were kind of trying initially, after I shifted into a different gear, once I found out I was pregnant I was pretty freaked out. Babies are always a big change, it seems, no matter how many you have.

It's normal to be scared. But you'll figure things out with time.

  • We had talked about another but nothing was set in stone. Im hoping my scan tomorrow will help me feel more settled & able to make a decision. All the best to you both
  • I think it's totally normal to be scared - hoping the scan goes well!
