Trouble TTC

**Getting Healthy/Weight Loss Check-In**

Happy Happy Friday ladies!  As most of you probably know @hope2bmom83 has decided to take a break from TTC and I will be posting the weekly check-ins! I have found this board as a great place share in my weight loss/getting healthy journey & hope you will feel the same!

How has the week been for you? I hope everyone is continuing to succeed in their goals!  Let us know what is working, what isn't, tips, recipes, apps, or workouts that you come across. Are you new to this check-in?  Answer these questions so we can get to know you:
  1. What is your weight loss/get healthy goal?
  2. What method are you using to help reach your goal?
  3. What is your biggest weakness that you just can't resist?
  4. What kind of support would you appreciate from our weekly check-ins?
QOTW: Do you want to keep this check-in on Fridays? I am open to starting it any day of week. I am not sure if having it on a Monday would be better so we can talk about weekend challenges and what we want to accomplish in the upcoming week, or we can leave it on Fridays! Let me know what you all think!

Re: **Getting Healthy/Weight Loss Check-In**

  • This week I think I got a bit to cocky, I didn't write anything down, I didn't get in all my protein for the week, nor did I really drink all my water. So needless to say the scale isn't going to reflect a nice number tomorrow. I know that it shouldn't be about the number on the scale but in my case it is for IVF purposes. I have a habit of letting this happen, I hit a small goal and then I get too comfortable. I said to my husband tonight that we need to really buckle down so we can hit our next goal. The next goal for me is a minimum of 10 more lbs. lost so we can proceed with IVF.

    1. What is your weight loss/get healthy goal? Long Term Goal -100lbs. Current at -20lbs since 4/1/14.
    2. What method are you using to help reach your goal? Lower carb, high protein, nothing processed.
    3. What is your biggest weakness that you just can't resist? Anything crunchy (which I know is alot!)
    4. What kind of support would you appreciate from our weekly check-ins? Having other participants engaging weekly to keep us all motivated!

I really need to decided and act on it if I plan to join a gym so I can get moving or if I want to try it at home again. I bought T25 last summer and we both saw results but I got bored from it. I know I need to get moving just need a kick in the behind but I feel that this will really help with my next weight loss goal!

  • Hello!  After all the work travel and vacations I've been taking, I finally weighed myself Sunday and was at 150, which is the most I've ever been.  I'm 5ft tall, and I've always weighted more than I look...but still, not happy about that.  In my profile pic I was 125, so my goal is to eventually get to 130-135 - unless of course, I get pregnant :)

I started stims this week so I tried to focus on getting some sort of workout in and what I ate more than looking at the numbers.  I did get to the gym a couple of times and lost 3 lbs, so in the end it was a good week.  Maybe after ER, I'll see I've lost some more.  I'm doing a free-all cycle, so I'll be able to get some good workouts in before the transfer in July or August.

I like Fridays.  I always hate checking on my weight on Mondays and during the week it keeps me on track b/c I know I have to report on Friday :)

  • Hey ladies! Well this week for me has not been fabulous. Started AF and I want to eat everything in sight! Baked goods and chocolate soooo much. This is my first natural period in months (non induced with provera/bcp) and I absolutely forgot how bad my food cravings get. Luckily I pushed myself to work so much that I have only gained about 1.5lbs (which is not as bad as I thought I feel horribly bloated) PCOS weight loss sucks to begin with and I havent been doing fabulous with my metformin. Only been taking it 1x instead of 2x a day just because I forget. Ugh ranting sorry about that

QOTW Whenever you want! I am here to participate  any day =)
