Terrified. (BFP mentioned)

We have been TTC again since September of last year and suffered a chemical pregnancy in February. I just completed a 50 mg Clomid cycle last month, but my day 21 progesterone test said I was negative for ovulation. I was of course extremely disheartened, and was told if I hadn't started a period by day 35 to test just to be sure before starting my second round of Clomid. Well, it's day 30...I had one cheapy pregnancy test laying around here at home and decided to go ahead and get rid of it. It was positive. Albeit, faintly so. I am terrified that my low progesterone on day 21 indicates this will be another chemical pregnancy. Any words of encouragement or thoughts on this? Has anyone had something similar happen before? I'm having DH fetch a Clearblue Digital on his way home to test again in the morning, and have already called my OB so they could call in progesterone suppositories but it's so difficult to be hopeful.

Well how were you tracking ovulation? The progesterone test is meant to be done 7DPO NOT CD21, I hate when Drs say CD21 because that is based on the assumption that everyone Os on cd14, which we all know is not true. 

There's really nothing you can do except go in for a beta and hope for the best. If you haven't started your period yet, your body is OBVIOUSLY producing some progesterone, so I'd take some solace in that in the meantime. Good luck.

Ditto to the above. Maybe you o'd at a different time and therefore the progesterone test was inaccurate. Test again in the morning and go from there.

While we are all very happy for you on your somewhat unexpected BFP, it is kinda rude to just drop a BFP post on a board you have never really been active on. Especially one dealing with IF. Hope that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy, and please try to be a bit more considerate of others.

Excuse me... I'll make sure I don't come by again. You women can be ruthless. I've spent most of my time on BabyCenter, where the crowd is just as rude, if not more so. I was told my question would be appropriate for this board and was hoping to get reassurance and support from women going through similar situations. Won't be making that mistake again. Women dealing with IF, loss, PCOS and Endo should support one another and welcome others new to this place, not take everything personally and make someone who is hurting, scared, and confused a target. I hope all of you are proud of yourselves. It's impossible to get involved if you've not been here before; everyone is so bitter and caught up in themselves. Where is the mutual respect and compassion and caring? Screw an update. It's clear I'm not welcome. Good luck in you endeavors. May no one make you feel less than they.

Oh please. I was quite frankly shocked at how nice the comments were. I don't know why you would be told this is the place for you if you had never been here before your BFP. PAIF would be a much better place. I sincerely hope that every thing is ok with your baby.

We've been ponying up for months on that respect, compassion, caring, support, being there for each other's heartaches (OMG the heartache the last few months!), and everything else this place should provide to women going through 2IF. Well everyone else pretty much nailed it! Posting a drive by BFP no matter what is not cool. We've been supporting each other for months, some years. The drive by and attitude are not needed! Just get over yourself! There are newbie rules clearly posted.....

I am seriously DYING @ Everyone is wrapped up in themselves. If you spent 5 seconds on the board, you would know that could not be further from the truth.

Agreed! I have been on this board off and on for years, and there is always wonderful support and compassion for others. But, you can't just drop a BFP on an infertility board you have never been active on and expect others to care when they don't know you!

I had made an intro and posted quite a bit back in February. After my loss, I moved onto another board. I didn't realize coming back made me new again. To say I'm feeling bullied is an understatement. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, because that was never my intention. However, the harshness of these responses is unwarranted and yes, rude. As requested, I'll be staying off this board from here on out. Hopefully people elsewhere on the site are more welcoming than this crowd.

@Mrs Castillo, I've already apologized for having offended anyone, although no, I don't understand it. Apparently unlike everyone else here, I have more to do than post every single day. I have a 16 mo old DD, a full time job, I am taking college courses, caring for my ill mother, and take care of domestic duties outside of all that. So forgive me for having a life. I hope all of you here will lighten your moods a bit. There is no reason to be so hateful with people who aren't on here 12/7. It's not good for anyone, much less thebump community. It makes you all seem bitter and angry inside.

Ok, every single one of us has a life, you're not so special there, and yes a lot of us DO make time to check in DAILY to support each other, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, that is actually the reason we are so close. What makes us bitter and angry is INFERTILITY, nothing else. You should be able to relate to that having dealt with this yourself, am I right? 

Your post was rude and offensive, you apologized then spent the rest of your time trying to DEFEND it. Give me a break, are you sorry for being offensive OR NOT? Stop trying to make it seem like you were attacked for no reason, because that absolutely was NOT the case. 

We can just let this thread die now as well. I'm respectively taking the time to clarify any misunderstandings for you, since you and LSOH seem to be convinced you're both being attacked for NO reason. You were offensive, and some people just happened to not believe her story- people are allowed to do that on the internet. It's kind of ironic that you all have THIS to relate to each other.

@MrsCastillo, I suppose I have a different worldview than you. I didn't let my struggles make me bitter or angry. I didn't make fun of people and attack people if they mentioned they were pregnant around me, or even if they made rude remarks to me about my infertility! Again, yes, I'm sorry I offended anyone, and I'm sorry I ever came back to this board. I certainly won't recommend it to anyone else.

You're effin right. I don't have a life. I work full time plus PRN and take care of my kid and family, too. I choose to check in when I get a break at work or a second to sit down at home because right now I need to know, as I am surrounded by pregnants, that I am not alone. I am glad you're in a place right now where you're not consumed by 2IF (pretty easy when you have a current BFP), but I need to be able to talk to people who get what I'm going through in some capacity. And I know to get support when I need it, I need to give support when others need it. I can't talk about this to other people in my barely existent life because they don't get it. My BFF is single and tired of hearing my whining (with good reason)... And I just had a thought:

Wtf? Why am I defending myself to you? I just realized I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt..
