My mom's best friend is Annamarie.....spelled this way, all one word.  She never had a separate middle name growing up, although she now uses her maiden name as her middle name.  No one has ever called her by any NN--she has always been Annamarie.  It's such a lovely name; sounds like music.

Pretty much all names go with Marie, that's why it's so popular as a middle name.  Personally, I'd love to see it as a first name, but in the middle I prefer it with Anna Marie.
