Well ladies... Got my 3hr glucose tolerance results back... Only one of the 4 blood draws was slightly elevated and the other three were fine so they consider that passing!!!!!!!! The nurse said to watch my carb and sweet intake (which I try to do now anyways) but other than that I am good to go!!! I am so damn excited and am totally going to celebrate tonight before going back to being good about what I eat :D

Such an awesome way to start the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to all of you who are having to take the 3hr test - I hope it all comes back passing <3

Glad to hear it! I ended up deciding to wait until Monday for mine. So I won't know until Tuesday.

Let me guess - the elevated one was the one that was an hour after you drank the flat orange soda?

  • Because the 1 hour has such a high rate of failure, my doctor skips it. He had me do a 2 hour version to start, and said it cuts down on the need for a second test by "significant amounts." I did it today, and it was rough having to sit for the two hours... But if it means I only have to do it once, so be it!

  • Is any of you feel faint and hot with an elevated heart rate and still pass your one or three hour? I'm nervous I failed mine but I had this same issue last pregnancy and didn't have it. (I had a midwife last time and she didn't do the one hour, we monitored it other ways)Too much sugar makes me feel this way, especially in the morning.

  • Oh thank goodness! I really don't want to have to be induced again. I already had to have a c-section with Logan and I really don't want another.
