Question About O Day When LP Changes

I have a question, and I hope it makes sense. In my last cycle, my LP was 11 days, and now in this month's cycle, it looks like it will be 13 or 14 days. Will the change in the LP time frame possibly change my O day, or do you think the day might remain the same? Right now FF has CD16 marked as my O day (assuming my LP is 13 days). I am just wondering if the follicular phase might shorten in June's cycle.

(I do know that the O day isn't fixed anyway. I am just trying to see if my husband *might* be in town for June's O day or O-1. Thanks for humoring me.)

ETA: In my first PP cycle, my O day was CD18, and in my second it was CD17. So, I naturally assumed that my O day would be CD16 in this coming cycle. This coincides with my new cycle if AF starts tomorrow. Maybe that is my answer.

The change of the lp shouldn't change your O day but it's almost impossible to predict what day you are going to O this far out. I always O'd around cd12-14 then all the sudden 1 month I was going to try to trigger and all the sudden I O'd on cd 21 and was out of town so I couldn't.


I'd guess looking at your charts you will probably O between cd14-18. Then again it's just a guess.

Your lp lengthening will not change the day you OP, but it will change the date of your fertile week.  Your folicular length will not change just bc your lp did, but it can lengthen on it's own based on levels of estrogen.  So if you typically O on cd 14 then your fw will start on cd11(ish) and run and then end after O. Basically your fw time frame will not be affected but your projected O/fertile week Date will.  Hopefully I made sense!

Agreed.   I hope this works out with you and your husband's plans!

Thanks, everyone. I started my period this morning, and FF moved my anticipated O date to CD19 instead of CD16. This would be fantastic with my husband's return. However, I am not going to get too ahead of myself. We'll see!
