https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/women-filmed-giving-birth-wild-3647922So I understand having a home birth with the help of a midwife...but doing it all by yourself, on purpose, seems nuts! And then add the outdoor part...it better be a really nice day.

I think we need to remind ourselves that millions of people all over the world have babies all on their own without any kind of medical help.
We're lucky that we get the kind of medical support and involvement that we do in Westernized cultures.
Though...not saying I would EVER do it on my own, but much of the world does

That being said, I'm looking forward to my epidural very much. I admire those who go med-free, but I ain't that girl.
This is actually not true, in countries where there aren't doctors available women will have other women at their births to help. Not just simply deliver alone because they don't have a doctor.
AHAHAHA! I'm enjoying the responses!!! I wouldn't do this either, but I certainly don't judge this lady for doing so. I would totally have a home birth with midwife present, but I wouldn't want to do it completely alone. I watched the YouTube video a year or so ago, my sister had sent it to me and I clicked, not knowing what it was.
It is remarkable at the length of which reality tv would go to.
