I'm a first time mom and doing some research on cloth diapers.... Has anyone used Real Nappies? Is the bundle pack worth it? It looks like I'd save a lot....
I considered it before ds was born but decided I wanted the flexibility of being able to change what type of diaper I was using. I started with prefolds, then went to AI2s, then pockets, and now flats and flat stuffed pockets. I would say no matter which way you do cloth you'll save money, however, there are some here that could prove that statement wrong.

I would avoid big packages when starting out, because you won't know what you like. For my newborn stash I went with mostly prefolds and covers and some flats and fitteds. I love the flats, and the idea of fitteds with covers, but the brand of fitteds I bought is not great, so I have some other ones on order. I was surprised to discover I really do not like prefolds - at least the fit on my newborn. And since the bulk of our newborn stash is prefolds (24 of them) we're only doing cloth part time right now because I don't want to invest in more newborn sized stuff. LO is growing fast so we're waiting for him to grow into the one-size pockets, AIO and AI2s we have to go full time.
Lesson learned.
The nice thing about a newborn stash is it's easy to find nicer stuff used and/or resell your gently used newborn stuff, so getting a variety in your stash for newborn size lets you figure out what you like for the one size stash, and then you can make more investment in that.
