Scan + trigger + IUI timing? What do you think?

So question about timing....

Scan today showed 18mm and 15mm follie (yay!)

So they said trigger tonight and set my appt for Friday am. DH goes in a 8, mine is at 9. So they said do trigger tonight at 10 pm.

Is this about what you guys do?

I am having what I think is OP, my CM seems right and increased interest to BD, my usual signs of O.....so I feel like if we wait until Friday morning, we're going to miss it.

They did bloodwork today and I didn't get a phone call saying we needed to move up our timeline.....but I'm just really worried that Friday morning is way too late.

Does this timeline sound like yours?

Sounds right! We do IUIs 36 hours after trigger.

If you weren't surging on your own (I'm sure your dr would have called you if you were), then you will ovulate roughly 36 hours after administering the trigger shot. So the timing is perfect IMO. I just had my IUI yesterday and it was done 37 hours after the shot. All of my research, and after speaking with the dr yesterday, shows an IUI timed 36 hours after trigger is ideal. Good Luck!!

That was about the same timeline I had last iui. I also worried that it was too late. During the iui, though, nurse said my cervix was still soft and open (I felt nothing during procedure) and I felt horrible O pain about 40 hrs after trigger, making me feel like we hadn't missed it. GL!

I think the timing sounds perfect. By then your 15 will be just matured, like 18-19 and your current 18 will be at a great size too!

Just wanted to reiterate that the timing sounds perfect! I had my IUI scheduled about 28 hours after trigger, and I honestly think that was a touch too early. I felt my O pains pretty much at 36 hours!

So even though I think I felt O pain yesterday afternoon....that could be just a fluke? Like pre-O pain?

Yes, it could be a fluke. During my last IUI cycle, I triggered Friday night for a Sunday morning IUI. I swore that I was O'ing on Saturday. Indeed, I was not. I had an u/s before the IUI and it showed that I had not O'd yet. I usually feel O pain shortly after my IUI.

Yeah with the first IUI I started Oing on like CD8, and that was my monitoring appt  so I think we missed it last time. This time we did the scan on CD7 and CD9 and I didn't get a call last night, so I should just relax.....

StacyLH24 did they do an u/s just like when they do your scan? And could see that the egg was still there?

O pain and changing CM can be related to your medication, too. I get EWCM for about 2 days before trigger, I guess my body is confused by all the Estrogen? The O pain might be from your ovaries being more active than usual. If you're concerned, call your RE, but I also think your timing is great!

On follistim I felt very crampy even before O, maybe that's what you felt? It's also unlikely that you would be O'ing with follies at 15-18mm already so I think you should be safe. My IUIs were also always scheduled 36 hours after triggering. Good luck!

Sounds great!  My office has me do back to back's, one at 12 hours post trigger and one at 36 hours post.

@kaynix21 - I get a transvaginal u/s right before my IUI. When I have used Ovidrel, the follies were still intact at 36 hours after trigger.

This thread is making me nervous that mine is scheduled too late. I triggered this morning for a Saturday morning IUI. We may just BD when I get off shift tonight to be on the safe side.
