Fortunately  this was a question that could be studied – and answered – by science. We looked at children who received vaccines and those who didn’t, or who received them on a different, slower schedule. There was no difference in their neurological outcomes.  Multiple studies have been completed which investigated the measles, mumps and rubella vaccination in relation to autism. Researchers have also studied thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative, to see if it had any relation to autism. The results of studies are very clear; the data show no relationship between vaccines and autism.  Read the studies themselves below and browse our recommended reading list."

There are a dozen scientific literature reviews on this website that explain that there is no link between vaccinations and autism.

I know vaccs can be a heated debate but it is a serious issue for many. It's nothing to joke about, and can clearly come across as obtrusive and mean spirited.

Did you happen to catch the Today Show last week where they explained how the measles out break is DIRECTLY related to people not vaccinating themselves or their children? And if you really think it causes autism and heroin use then there is nothing we can do to help you. You're a lost cause.

Agreed. The vax debate is presented so black & white, but the "right" methodology is muddled in grey with a mix of do-or-don't leaving the best decision for you, your growing family, and the general population a very personal one that should be made based on your particular circumstances through discussions with a trusted pediatrician and (real) research.
(Holy run on sentence!) while vax are extremely important, there are many acceptable variations allowing customization including the timeline, frequency, risks, vulnerability, and optional availability.
