I recieved a letter in the mail stating I failed to sign a wic check. Has anyone ever done this and what happened. This is my first time, is was a mistake I dont even remember doing this. I feel like crying. We need wic. My son is on elecare and its 45.00 a tin. The letter stated I could be disqualified, asked to pay the money back or prosecuted. It was an honest mistake. I really would like to see the check I failed to sign.

    I cant find anything on the violation, which makes me think its a minor violation, I wont get in much trouble for it. It was an honest mistake, not something I intentionally tried to do, or obviously I would of had to stay in the store and pay for my items. I will do anything to keep my benefits, we need wic. I am trying not to get medicaid, we have a primary insurance already and this is the only governemental program I get help for.

    The good part is, if I lose wic, I researched a new bill that was signed, Maryland health insurance companies have to cover my sons formula for his severe allergy. He cant have soy, soy gives him hives. Very upset over all this. Ive been crying all nioght

    Is there a contact number on the letter? If it's a legit violation they should tell you how to fix it. It may just be a warning. Call the local WIC office.
