Hello all –

To be quite honest, I am not sure how often I will post. Sometimes writing it down and engaging in conversations is very helpful and other times my introvert takes over and I'd rather read and learn. Figured I'd need to at least introduce myself.

I'm currently 35 and have been managing endometriosis for almost 20 years. I was pretty scared when DH and I decided it was time we TTC and I had the doc remove my IUD (best 7 years of my life!). Last I remembered, my periods lasted for 10-13 days and were super heavy so I had no idea what would happen. After removal, since I hadn't had a true period in 10 or so years, I immediately started with the OPKs to get a better understanding of my body and how it was working. Well, I was lucky! I had 3 "standard" periods on consistent cycles. 3rd time IS a charm because I got pregnant! 

Many of my friends had to send pics of their tests out to see if anyone thought there was a true second line present. I didn't have to. It was an evening pee and that second line appeared right away. I was so happy and extremely nervous (pregnancy scares me but that's for another time). DH was so happy, too. I had 3 positive home tests and a positive at the doctor's office. Since I just had my annual in Nov, he did a quick check and my uterus was softening. I returned in two weeks for my first U/S. Long story short, I was at exactly 8w but only measuring 6w4d. Since my symptoms were strong, I was advised to take it easy and call if I had any cramping or spotting and had a followup U/S scheduled in another two weeks. I was cautiously optimistic - my symptoms did not fade one iota and there was no cramping or spotting. DH and I went to that appointment heads held high, just to leave the room in tears. Sometime in-between my two U/Ss I had a MMC, yet the sac continued to grow. Just a few days later I had a D&C. Here I am, almost 6 weeks to the day after surgery, patiently awaiting the return of Aunt Flo so charting can begin again. 

Until she appears, I'll raise a glass to cheer you all on ... and enjoy it while I can

I'm so sorry for your loss. I suffered a MMC last year and nothing prepares you for that. I'm glad you found this board which is so great for sharing and also for just reading and learning. Here's hoping your stay here will be short and sweet and you won't be able to raise a glass for much longer.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Just be prepared if you have a few off cycles post miscarriage. If you plan on temping you will know what your body is doing better than if you just use opk's.

I hope your stay with us is short and you get your rainbow.

I'm sorry for your loss. Welcome to the board, and I hope your stay is short. For perspective, I had a 9 week loss this winter. It took two cycles for things to get back to normal, and even my third was a little long. Don't be too worried if things feel unfamiliar at first.

I'm sorry for your recent loss and battle with endometriosis. There is nothing wrong with just reading the posts; I do that on a different board too. I think this is the warmest and most laid back board that I know about, so welcome. You'll always find support here.

So sorry for your loss. I had a mmc in March so I can certainly relate. My first 2 cycles were very whacky. This last one was more "normal" so we are only now venturing off the bench. I think it Is pretty typical to have a couple months of adjustment on your cycles after a miscarriage so don't be alarmed if they aren't what they were immediately. I hope your stay here is short and sweet.

I'm sorry for your loss.  I had a mmc and my D&C was the same day as yours.   Welcome to the board.  It is a very supportive place.
