I agreed to take over the weekly check-in for QOTR. I will likely continue to post it on Wednesdays, if that's ok? I tend to have more time then.
So...
1) Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
2) Age at delivery? (optional)
3) Any other children? Furbabies?
4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
QOTW: Who or what do you look to for parenting inspiration and advice?

3) Any other children? Furbabies?
A daughter! She will be 7 in August.
4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week?
Feeling good. So very normal, in fact! My belly feels a bit heavy and I get some BH sometimes... And now that I have my thyroid meds sorted out (FINALLY - what a freaking drama that was) I don't feel so exhausted in the afternoons, so that is nice. I am grateful.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Second part of IPS blood testing is next week... otherwise, next MW appt is June 30th... and my anatomy scan should be some time in early July?
My mom is actually really good with babies. No one under her watch is in diapers after 12 months. (Seriously.) She taught me all of her tricks about that. The only problem is finding underwear to fit a 6 month old! lol.
I look to my dad a lot, too. In all of my 38 years he has never ever spoken a single harsh word to me. (He might have rolled his eyes a couple of times but that is it.)
After having my daughter... I asked him how he always kept his cool. He said "You were a good kid." Then I asked "So I actually listened to you?" Then he responded... "I said you were just a good kid. I never even had to tell you anything. ou always did the right thing without me even asking." Tell me that's not amazing to hear from your dad! He was always so cool and funny that I guess it was easy to be a good kid with him.
So that is what I need to start striving for in my parenting, I guess: "Cool and Funny". I never stepped too far out of line as who would want to wreck a relationship like that.

Their other office/hospital is really, really good, so it will be fine, but I had a minor panic attack at having to change my whole plan. Ugh.

4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? Overall I have been feeling pretty good. Normal aches and pains. However this morning I had my last monthly checkup. I go to 2 weeks appointments now. Crazy how time has flown. Anyways my blood pressure was high this morning - 140/70. Doc sent me for some blood work and I am doing a 24 hour urinealysis to check for protein. Fingers crossed and all come back normal and no preeclampsia etc.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? No rants or raves other than being frustrated with my high blood pressure this morning. I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried but trying to stay calm.

QOTW: Who or what do you look to for parenting inspiration and advice? Both mom n mil are great. Sisters on both sides will give there two cents whether I ask for it or not is another question
2) Age at delivery? (optional) Turning 39 in September
3) Any other children? Furbabies? One cat Moby and One pug dog Rocky who loves kids
4) How are you feeling? New symptoms this week? I was feeling ok about a week ago but the friday before last my energy level started to drop again. I am getting more constipated but I am hoping adding more fiber via oatmeal in the morning will help and more veges. Heartburn has also been a problem and my nurse said to eat fewer more frequent meals to help. A new symptom is lower back pain, I don't know if it is pregnancy related but it has been uncomfortable for a about three days now.
5) Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? Just past my 1st ob appt Junxe 4th. It went very well and found out I was exactly where I needed to be. I have to go see a surgeon regarding problems with a previous hernia which I hope won't be a problem. I had surgery about 5-6 years ago to fix a ventral hernia but ther e is still a pudge at the site which my ob is concerned about. However, the surgeon can't see my until June 26th. My next appt is July 2nd so hopefully I will have some answers. I just hope this isn't going to cause any major issues, I think it might just make my pregnancy more painful which sucks. I am in no pain right now so I am hoping it is just fluid and it is a quick fix. But my LO is worth it and surgery cannot be an option before I deliver. On a good note, I got my anatomy scan booked for 8/13/2014. I think a Materiniti 21 test is covered so I made find out the gender before then. I just want to call and confirm on Monday and I can pop in any time to ob office and get the blood test. They do all the blood work at their office and I really loved the people there. I would recommend this office to anyone I know, it was such a great atmosphere, and its an all women office. I am uncomfortable around male ob's, I have not had good experiences with them, not to knock all of them. Sorry so long.

January PAL siggie challenge; Good advice:
Is it bad that I would rather have the baby on Nye for the tax break. My mil said it could be the first baby in the year and you might get free gifts. Lol
January PAL siggie challenge; Good advice:
The tax break would certainly help with those medical bills, so no, not bad at all!
