I have one. It's my mother's maiden name, which drove me BONKERS as a child. Every other girl had pretty middle names like Marie, Rose, or Leigh while I had this ridiculous middle name.

I had one at birth, but changed it when I got married.  My middle name was Marie - but there was so significance to it.  And I knew 3 other girls growing up with my first name and Marie...so yeah, that was outta here when I got married.  I officially changed my middle name to my maiden name.

My middle name is Scott, a family name. Plus, I'm the youngest of three girls, and I think my parents were kinda hoping for a boy. :P

I wasn't given a middle name at birth but when I got married I made my maiden name my middle name.  Most people at work though swear my last name is hypenated.  It's not people!

I didn't have one when I was born. When I changed my name to an English name legally, my original first name (Chinese) became my middle name. It is still the same now, I didn't change it when I got married.

I have a MN.

My dad doesn't. When I was little I asked him why. He said they were too poor.

So I grew up thinking we were rich bc we all had middle names. Haha!!

Mine is Pauline. After my dads aunt who basically raises his mom (my grandmother) so it has sentimental family meaning. I didn't like at all when I was younger then thought about going by it in college but decided not to. Now it's whatever, I never met my dads aunt and don't have a horrible relationship but a barely there relationship with my grandmother.

I was Marie, my sister Lynn.  LOL we both changed to our maiden names after marriage.

I feel your pain! As a kid I wished for a "normal@ MN like Ann or Marie. My MN is my grandmother's maiden name and now I love it. But as a kid I would never share it with anyone.

I legally changed my middle name when I was 23. I hated the spelling, and that it was constantly mispronounced. I love my name now.

Middle name Lynn here! And every person I have met with my first name (jennifer)has also had my middle name

Exactly. It's supposed to be pronounced like Alyssa. That's why I changed it lol
