~~~Preggie Pact~~~
Who's TTC????
GTKY:  If money, your age, your ability to get pregnant, etc., were not an issue, what would you wish for the ideal age spacing between your children?  Will you be able to get close to that age spacing?
Re: ~~~Preggie Pact~~~
  • 24-28 months apart. I'm not sure if we'll get there; 2-2.5 years apart puts us as TTC or KU this late fall/winter. I don't know if MH feels THAT ready, and we'd likely have to find a different daycare. LO goes to the cream of the crop for our area, and boy do we pay for it! There's no way we could afford 2 there.
  • I should add: I also want closer to 2.5 years, because I want LO to have some time to be our only before another AW enters her life.
  • We're still holding off on TTC until the fall.
    GTKY:  Immediately after I had DS I wanted to get pregnant again.  I was hoping for 2U2, but I didn't get AF back until he was 13 months.  We tried for a couple of months, didn't get pregnant, and DS started becoming really independent and testing his limits.  At that point, I was a little glad that I hadn't ended up getting pregnant.  Now I'm hoping for a three year age gap.  It makes me a little sad that they will feel so distant in age while they're growing up.  Three years seems like a lifetime when you're a kid.  But, I'm hoping that the larger age gap will result in DS being more of a helper with his younger sibling.
  • Me!  And it currently sucks because I have to wait another week to test.  Waiting sucks!
    I think 2 years is ideal.  We've already passed that window so I'll take whatever I can get now.  Sanity-wise I think further apart is better but growing up together-wise I think closer together is better.
    Well AF showed her ugly head Sunday. So we're on to our second TTC cycle after 5 or so of NTNP.
    D is almost 7 years older than G. While not ideal, it has been much better than I expected. G is D's little shadow. They are starting to "fight" over things like I remember doing with my siblings who are closer in age. D is very caring and protective of his little brother. That being said DH is 43 and I'm 35. So if this next LO isn't conceived in the next six to nine months there won't be a next one. DH doesn't want to retire before the babes are graduated. So ideally 2.5 to 3 years apart.
    My ideal spacing would also be around two years. My sister is 22 months younger than I and while I didn't want to share my parents with her when I was young I'm so glad that we got to grow up so close together. AF still hasn't shown up so I'm just going to have to see when my body decides it's time for another.
    2 to 2 and a half years apart. but since I am turning 32 this year and it took 6 months to conceive little man I want to start trying after he turns 1 at the end of August. If it happens right away great if not then hopefully not too long after. Two under two scares me but not as much as the child development classes I took scared me about egg quality.
    Edited it to add that I am jealous I only got 6 months of no AF even though I am still nursing all the time. I wish it had been longer especially since we aren't going to try until August.
  • Oh I think I am also in the around 2 years apart camp. Ds and dd are 3 years apart and it works great. I guess I am just so ready now. I am curious to see if the first pp period was a fluke or the real thing. Everyone told me how horrible and heavy their ppp are. Mine was super light only 2 days and no cramps or anything that normally goes along with it. I guess we will see.
    Lurking, but my PP periods have been significantly less crampy. I've always had a lighter flow, and that hasn't changed either.
    Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
    My first PP AF was just like that.  Two or three days of spotting and that's it.  Then I got a regular period right on schedule after that.
