Allergies at 6 weeks?

Could my baby boy have allergies? The whites of his eyes are red and he has bumps on his cheeks and slightly snotty nose.

Sounds like baby acne and typical newborn congestion. Call your ped and see what they think though. We have been using the saline nasal spray and the nosefrida since our son was probably 4 weeks. Not much you can do about the acne. Both will eventually go away on their own. The nurse told me that babies can't really develop allergies until they are year to 2 years I believe. I can't remember when but 6 weeks is too young.

Ok, I was just wondering why his eyes were so red.

Ya that is strange. I would still call your ped to see what they say about that. I would be interested to hear what they say. Keep us posted!
