Britax B Ready vs Phil and Teds Navigator

So I had my heart set on the Britax B Ready for when #2 comes along in November. I like all the configurations and I really love that it can be folded with both seats on it...

But then I got an amazing deal on a new Navigator..... I like a lot about it, but am stressed about removing the second seat when I need to fold it. I also don't love their car seat configurations, but I think I can deal with it. Is that a big deal?

Anyone have experience with both or either?

If Britax does a free ride event in the near future, it will *almost* be the same price we got the Navigator for since we also need a car seat (Navigator will still come out less, but not as much less). Should I hold out for a free ride? Should I just stick with the Navigator and move on and stop being gear research crazy?

  • I've been told that p&t strollers tend to have issues with the tires popping. No personal experience, but that could add cost to the stroller as well.

Interesting, we have had p&t for 3.5 years and it has had two tires pop.  Which seems like a lot considering I used a Mountain Buggy for years when I was a nanny and never had a tire pop.
  • I was at a baby expo a few weeks ago and asked the Britax rep about the free ride event.  She said it's possible for July or August, but it will most likely be for the Affinity, not the B Ready.

Got my b ready with amazons special free ride event they offered at a special time than the usual. Love it so far with a 2.5 year old and 5 week old. So many different configurations!

The Navigator is a little more all terrain and but doesn't fold with the second seat on. If you do rougher terrain, I'd do that, otherwise I think the B-Ready is a little more user friendly.

  • I love our B-Ready but only use it as a single for now (that will be changing in Dec!).  I don't know much about P&T but have seen some models that when the main seat is reclined, the second seat becomes unusable.  Not sure if that is the case with the Navigator.

  • We love our B Ready as both a single and a double

I hate my navigator.  I haven't even used it with the double seat yet so I haven't had to deal with taking it off, but folding the basic stroller is a nightmare.  I'm considering selling the Navigator to get a Citi Mini.
