Trouble TTC

He's not a carrier! So now what?

Well, CD1 is nigh upon me (I'm 14dpo & haven't POAS yet, but my temps have dropped), and I guess it's time to decide what to do next.
A little background (to flesh out my sig): We did COH this cycle, with TI instead of IUI until we got his CF results back (we had just gotten my results right before my CD 12 u/s, so we decided to hold off on the IUI). The u/s showed two follicles (20mm and 19mm), and I o'd the next day (confirmed by temps and progesterone check on 7dpo). After all the tests and the lap surgery, we've been diagnosed with unexplained infertility.

At the u/s, our RE suggested that if this cycle was a bfn, to go forward with IUI next cycle, but without using femara. In reading articles about treatment options for unexplained infertility, it looks like IUI w/o COH would probably end up being a waste of money and that our best IUI chances would include COH and gonadotropins (but increased risk of multiples). However, I'm not sure if that would be jumping the gun at this point. So I figure out options are basically:
Another TI + COH cycle (basically pointless; total cost for femara and u/s $210)
IUI alone (not much better than TI w/ COH)
IUI + COH (I'm not sure of the cost; I'm calling today to find out; slightly better chance than TI or IUI alone)
IUI + gonadotropins (surely more expensive than IUI + COH, but gives a better shot at a BFP)
IUI + COH and gonadotropins (higher cost, but gives us the best chance)

I'm thinking that we should try one-two cycles of IUI + COH and hold off on the gonadotropins. I wish I had asked last time we were there about the different costs associated with each level; I was just hoping the femara alone would have been enough. I ovulate on my own between Cd13-15 on average, so I don't need the femara, but I don't think it's out of line to insist on using it with IUI, is it? I still have 2 refills left on it.
