@Eg214 i know that youve said that your favorite day is valentines day. I was wondering why? And im not trying to be snarky im just curious. I like valentines day for traditions with my dad.

Not sure if this is the craziest, but it's one of my favorite stories to tell:

When I was 21, I went with some co-workers to some random college dorm party in the city. I knew NO ONE other than my co-workers and I got schwasted. I don't remember whose idea it was but some random dude decided to take a group to find another party. I don't really remember where we were, but we stumbled (literally) upon a statue in front of one the university buildings, and it's a guy with his arms out like he's hugging an invisible person. I decided to climb it and my hoodie got stuck somewhere on the statue, I just remember slipping and suddenly hanging from my hoodie (like if someone grabbed the fabric in the back). The commotion of people trying to help get me down grabbed some attention, and when I was off the statue, a couple of cops had shown up. I didn't know who all in the group was underage (I didn't know my co-workers were still at the first party, so I was alone in this group of random college kids), so I panicked a little because I could be charged for public intoxication AND providing alcohol. But then I realized, my ID was in the car my co-worker drove us in! So I thought I was FUCKED. Then, some kid a block away started screaming at us and the cops, and the group bolted (as did I). I ducked away in an alley and tried to call my co-worker, they had left the party looking for me. I never got through but I found some bar that wasn't carding to hide in and eventually saw his car and flagged him down. Actually, I was flagging all cars that were green, because I was too drunk to remember what kind of car we actually drove in.

@MinnesotaMomma91 - VDay has pretty much always been a massive disappointment in my book but I remain hopeful every year it will be awesome. I'm a romantic at heart, or I was...so that's pretty much why. I'm girly, love the hearts, love the pink, love the flowers, the cuteness, etc. One of these days a guy will do it right. So far, not so good. I think the closest thing was when I was dating the cheating coke dealer douche when we were right out of high school and I was teaching. Apparently he had paid for roses to be delivered to my school but somehow they didn't make it. He FLIPPED and ended up going and picking some up and delivering them himself at the end of the day. It ended up being awesome so he could be there in person and to see my kids. That was the same year he cooked me an awesome dinner, I made a fabulous dessert, and did this cute bag thing with clues to his present, which the final bag was Boston Red Sox tickets. That year they won the world series too, so it was just awesome.

My question for you would be - If you could be any animal what would you be and why. Kinda dumb but it's all I can think of at the moment.

Mine's for @beccaga16 - How did you find time to start dating? I'm not there yet...but I'm thinking once my divorce is final I'll feel ready. Also, when did you introduce C to your FI?

Really, for about two years the idea of dating EXHAUSTED me lol. My parents have C every Friday night. So my dating was limited to once a week.

With my now FI I was friends with him since HS and he had met DD already at friend gatherings. Even so I did not include her in our plans/dating until we were very serious. He still was around her at the parties/events, like Labor Day cookout and Friendsgiving. Then He came to Thanksgiving with my family after 3 months, still just at gatherings with other people. After about 5 months and talk about marriage and future we started hanging out as a trio.

Now this timeline was based on us being friends for 14 yrs and DD already being familiar with him... so it would have been very different with a "stranger".

Thanks! Yeah I'm still at the "dating? pshhh ain't nobody got time for that" stage. Right now I'm doing work on ME and trying to find my happy place with DD so that we have a good foundation before adding a new person to the mix. I'm almost a year out from the separation (and that's about the time I'm hoping the divorce will be finalized unless he decides to be an asshole about things) and around that time I like to think I'll be open to the possibility.

I wish I had some old friends like you did with your FI but sadly I already dated them all in high school. Haha.
