Re: Make sure this is NOT on your registry

  • I think the company stopped making them a year or so ago because of safety issues.

  • Your right.. I originally read this in the newspaper (it happened very close to my home) I just saw they are not in stores anymore thank goodness, but beware of he product regardless I'm sure there are still a bunch out there.
  • I think I saw one at the BRU in my town a few weeks ago. Hopefully they have pulled it off the shelf.
  • Yeah saw one at BRU!
  • I just saw one at bru the other day too. I was surprised since I had heard they weren't safe. Of course they also sell the puffy bumpers in all their bedding sets too and those are a huge suffocation risk.

I saw one last night at BRU when we were starting our registry. Luckily I had just seen this story shared on Facebook and I told DH, who was going a little scan crazy, to skip it.

  • Ugh. They're supposed to have pulled them all off the shelves. It's awful that some are still in stores.

The scary thing really is that there are lots out there and they're pretty popular, so some people who don't know will try to sell them at yardsales or on Facebook or Craigslist. Just hope lots of moms see the recall!!!

  • I saw there was another brand, that's similar to the Nap Nanny, but is supposed to be safer because the sides are higher.  It is an unimaginable tragedy when a sweet baby dies when it could have been 100% preventable ):
