Stupid Question Re: Nellies & Tide

For those that use Nellie's, is it only the washing soda that you use for diapers or can you use the oxygen whitener? The oxygen whitener is the only one that I can find in stores near here, but I don't know if it can be used or not. 

If this won't work, I might have to just buy Tide because it's all I can find. For an HE machine do you still buy original powder or original HE powder?
