Update on DD :)

We had her kidney ultrasound and cystogram today. She has pretty severe reflux in her kidneys which explains the UTI.

They are planning to send us HOME (!!!!!!!) on Wednesday. She'll have to stay on amoxicillin for a while to prevent the UTI's. We'll have to take her to the children's hospital downtown (outpatient) to see a specialist.

So, not great about the reflux, but it's nice to have an answer. As long as she passes her car seat test we should be home this week.

I really appreciate all the thoughts, prayers and support from everyone. It really means a lot.

I was thinking about you guys and wondering how your LO was doing (in a totally non-creepy way). I'm so glad she's doing better.

Also I'm gonna go with @mrsdrdg and say that I don't know what a car seat test is.

She has to sit in her car seat for 90 minutes while hooked up to the monitors. They want to make sure her breathing and heart rate remain ok. Because of their position in the seat it can sometimes cut off their airway.

I have also been told that if her urine culture comes back positive she's going to need iv antibiotics. In which case, we are not going home. SO, prayers for a negative culture!!!
