Have to throw away?

DD gets frozen milk on Mondays, but woke up with a fever this morning so she's staying home with me. When I made her bottles last night the milk was still slushy, but was completely thawed by this morning. Do I have to toss both bottles? Would the morning one still be ok tomorrow morning?

technically they're supposed to be good for 24 hours after completely thawed, but i would give them a sniff tomorrow morning. if they're off, you'll know because they'll smell sour. if they still smell okay, they are probably fine.

Agree with PP. Also, DD probably won't drink it if it's gone bad. I'm not sure how old your DD is, but if she is getting a lot of nutrition from solids at this point, I might be tempted to skip the solids for today and give the bottles instead...or give the bottles and then pump instead of nursing at those feedings. I wouldn't want to risk throwing away any breast milk!

Thanks! I was thinking of offering one of the bottles (divided into smaller portions) today on top of nursing, I figure since she's sick it might be good to try to increase her fluids? Then I'll smell the other bottle tomorrow morning to see if I can save it.
