Re: Where are my IFV posters? Come in:-)

• Hi McIrish! I'm here, but kinda quiet. I'm sure you get but I just feel like I'm living a dream! I cannot believe I'm at week 11 & still going strong. I've been sort of an emotional wreck. Everyone (family & friends) are so excited for me but my attitude is so womp, womp, womp! I'm happy but I sort of feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall off :-( It's kind of sad that I just can't totally enjoy this moment. How are you 3 doing?

PS- Love your ticker. You have inspired me to put one up. I'll make one soon. Maybe that's my first step in telling IF to bug off :-)

Hey G&T! (Btw my cats initials are G&T so DH and refer to them as that. ) Totally get the waiting for the shoe to drop feeling. DH gets mad at me for having it. We just told DHs family last weekend and started telling friends this weekend. I developed morning sickness starting at 13 weeks-like running to the bathroom to vomit sickness. Of course it makes me wonder if the are ok since I was only gagging previously and not actual puking...

• I have 3 cats and I am so in love with them! Do you feel like your cats know? My girl cat usually pays attention to DH the most but lately she has been obsessed with me. I was using my doppler & she curled up next to me and stretched her paw out onto my stomach!

How did it make you feel to announce? I would not give the m/s thing a lot of thought. It varies from person to person and from pregnancy to pregnancy. My m/s is letting up a little but man it wipes me out! Apparently, my cats must think it's fascinating because they all follow me in there to watch me puke! Ha!

@Grateful&Thankful It was the same for me with family and friends being super excited, but yet I wasn't. I guess it just didn't feel real until 20-something weeks and I was scared to get excited. You'll get there!

@Mrs.McIrish Sorry you're just now dealing with MS, but yay for 2nd tri!! I wouldn't worry about it showing up late either. My symptoms have been all over the place and not following the "normal" pattern. FX the vomiting stage passes soon!

AFM: It's hard to believe that I'm almost 30 weeks already and these babies will be here soon. After all the 2nd tri drama I had, I'm finally feeling somewhat confident that maybe I'll actually be able to make it to 36-38 weeks. Most of my life I've struggled with my weight so I'm proud of myself for only gaining 20 lbs so far, but at the same time it worries me that I'm doing something wrong and my babies won't be big enough. I have a growth scan tomorrow, so hopefully that will give me some peace of mind.

Okay, so sorry for your MS but glad I'm not the only one here. Up until 13 weeks 3 days I was mostly just nauseated and feeling like I was going to puke, but then all of a sudden I started puking. It's mostly in the morning, but it scared the crap out of me because I thought the MS was supposed to get better, not worse. So far so good, though. I listen to the babies on the doppler every day and their heartbeats are getting stronger and louder so that makes me feel a little better.

• Loving all the IFVers on this side of things! There's a special place in my heart for the vets. I'm almost 31w and other than the L&D fun yesterday and my GD, everything is super uneventful which is just how I like it to be! I still am in awe that this little baby in my belly A) exists at all and B) came from a frozen embryo that had been stored for so many years. Just boggles my mind! Having this little girl be from an adopted embryo is so normal to me these days that I have to remind myself that not everyone has babies this way lol! Babies can actually come from sex? That seems to foreign! :)

Still terribly scared and scared to be too excited just yet. We don't even know if were ready to tell the rest of the family and Facebook audience after 13 weeks right away. • Waving hi! I'm 33w3d today (lucky 3s!). I can't believe I can finally say I'm having a baby next month.

Sorry to report, however, that the IFV sense of doom/paranoia never totally goes away -- every trimester brings its own worries. So now I get to worry about whether she's moving enough/whether she could possibly be in distress, etc. It sucks but I march on like I did through my years of tx!

• Hi ladies! I think of you all often. I'm happy to see the updates! :)

I'm 15 weeks (as of yesterday) w/ our twins. It's finally starting to feel "real", though the IF anxiety still creeps up every now and then. Otherwise, all is well! Morning sickness is still a little rough, but I'm on Zofran which has been helping. We should hopefully find out the sexes on the 17th!

It's twin girls!! Born on 11-2-14!

• I have been lurking here but was scared I’d jinx myself if I intro’d.

Things have been going well. I haven’t had any morning sickness so far (hopefully it stays that way). I am still finding it hard to believe that this one might stick. Maybe after I finally get off the meds and graduate I’ll be more confident.

It is so nice to see that so many of us have made it over to this side!

Loving all the IFVers on this side of things! :)

Babies do NOT come from sex for us!! I already had one of DH's friends say never say never when I said these would be our only babies so I want to know the sexes to get the colors I want. He of course told me how others said that and then get pregnant again. I very politely said that I will not have ovaries so it would be impossible to have an oops baby...

• Hey G&T!

I totally agree that misery loves company!! Makes us feel like it is ok and not some strange aberration /something is wrong if others have the same odd symptoms. I refuse to get a Doppler though bc it would raise my blood pressure if I can't find them. I have a anterior placenta and I was told its harder to hear that way. The nurse at my MFM's office couldn't find them t 12 weeks and that was scary enough for me to solidify that I would not get a Doppler!

Ha!

One of my cats is always clingy/snugly so it's no different. I am worried my other guy is going to get jealous though.
When I say announce, we're just telling people when we see them. No big announcements. No FB posts or group emails...

• @Grateful&Thankful It was the same for me with family and friends being super excited, but yet I wasn't.

You are getting closer my dear!! I totally get the weight issue as I am scared of it myself. Haven't gained any in first tri. Hoping the babies grow without me having to gain the Dr Luke amounts of weight as Imcant see how that would be healthy for me since I gained a lot of IF weight over the 8 IVFs...

So, so excited for all of you! I still cannot believe I am where I am. I received a bill in the mail from my RE's office the other day. I broke down and cried when I opened it, but not for the reasons I normally would have before. I got a bill to renew the cryo storage on my frostie. After 5 IVFs I have beautiful twin girls, and a frozen embryo. I never thought it would happen. I happily paid my bill. It was a reminder of what I have and I am eternally grateful.

Hope you are all hanging in there through the sickness, discomforts and roller coaster of emotions (who'd have thought it would just continue when you got off the IF treatment train?) I look forward to the team and birth announcements to come!

• Hi to all the other success stories! 29 weeks today and it still doesn't seem real. However, I am at the point where I can visibly see my stomach move when he moves, which is CRAZY and really forces me to accept that there is a living person in my uterus. However, IF brain never goes away. Cried this weekend when I found out that a friend got pregnant in her first month of trying. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy for her, but it's just so unfair that some people get things so easily.
Me (31) - PCOS with insulin resistance

4 rounds of Clomid = no response
IVF # 1 - ET (1 3AA, 4 frosties): 12/22 = BFP
EDD: 9/9/2014
