Welcome to "Hanging On To a Dream!" This group is designed as a check-in for those that are not currently part of a monthly IVF cycling group but would like some camaraderie while waiting to cycle for any reason. Please join us if your monthly cycling group has not started and tell us how you are doing. Please also let us know if you are (1) waiting for 1st cycle; (2) in between cycles; or (3) on hold for whatever reason. --In between cycles waiting for the second IVF-ICSI cycle in July with a likely FET for the transfer--

Nothing new for me, except I will be vacationing in Turkey for two weeks starting tomorrow! Woo hoo! I am from Turkey originally and still have my parents and friends there. I am looking forward to spending time with them, especially with my mom and my best girl who all know about my IVF journey. I had my IVF nurse consult/lecture with the new clinic on Friday and they are flying my frozen embryo from Nashville to Philly. I will start my estrogen pills (twice/day) on my 17th day of the upcoming cycle and then the stimming is going to start likely in early July.

Not much going on here right now. I have an appointment with my local RE to discuss a possible treatment option that popped up in the last few weeks. I'll update when I know more. Besides that just waiting until August 27th for my appointment with Dr. KK.

QOTW: My family on my Mom's side had big family barbecues and when we all got together it was a blast. We don't get together as much since my grandparents passed away.

Morning ladies! I'm moving back over her as ivf/ICSI #1 was cancelled due to poor response. I have my wtf appt next week, and am hoping to cycle again by July.

QOTW- we used to go to FL every summer to spend a week with my grandparents. They spoiled us rotten and would take us to the beach, boating, marine world, etc and always had m&m cookies and chocolate covered raisins waiting for us .

Hi Hangers of Dreams

We had a plan and then decided that the plan sucked. So this weekend, we went back to the drawing board. Unfortunately, came up with almost the same exact plan as before. :-l But we were able to add a timeline to the mix, so that helps and hurts at the same time. We are doing IUIs right now while we're in this holding pattern. I don't have a single shred of hope invested, but at the same time I wouldn't turn away a miracle! Our appointments with Dr. KK are still scheduled for August 20/September 29. We will start looking for egg donors over the summer with the hopes that we can get matched and start a DE cycle in October. I wish we could do the DE sooner, but alas, money will not allow.

QOTW: Favorite summer memory... did we do this question last week? My answer last time was swimming in my grandparents' pool all day and watching The Smurfs.

Hi Ladies! I am feeling much better now from my surgery on the 22nd. I have my post-op appointment on June 10th. This Thursday I am having my baseline appointment for IVF #2. I will be starting meds soon and then if all goes well will have the procedures in July.

I'm at CD 38. Finished Provera last night so just waiting for AF now. Then on to IVF #1. It feels like forever away...mostly because I have no timeline yet. I hate the unknown and not having a concrete plan.

QOTW: my favorite summer memory was the vacation I took with my parents when we went to Plymouth, MA and Bar Harbor, ME.

Still waiting, but now waiting for AF so they can draw baseline labs.  Then we wait to hear back from the genetic lab on whether or not they can make our probe...so maybe FET in august? I'm not totally sure yet

Hey there everyone!

I'm waiting for AF to come in two weeks or so to start BCP and onto IVF# 1! Looking at a July retrieval. I spent some time today on the phone with several pharmacies trying to price out my meds. This part is frustrating since I'm teaching all day and don't have a free minute until after 4 pm! It's been a lot of returning phone calls and waiting to hear back! I created a spreadsheet with each pharmacy, phone number and room to write the cost of each med. (helps me to stay organized).

QOTW: I grew up with a bunch of cousins and we all used to go camping in upstate NY every summer. All the aunts, uncles, grandma, you name it! Great memories to last a lifetime!

Hi lovelies!

I met with a new RE for a second opinion and my DH and I love him! I have a hysteroscopy set for this Friday and the new RE will remove a fibroid he found in my ute. Then hopefully we can move forward with the Lupron for a spell then hopefully another transfer in about 4 months.....fx anyway.

I am just over here waiting for my blood work to prove I ovulated so maybe I can retry this IUI. 

I'm thoroughly confused by my protocol and I just told myself that maybe just once ignorance is bliss and I won't try to ask questions... then the Reproductive Immunologist's office wrote me with the questions.. ugh! 

QOTW: We always went to the boardwalk every summer- and my mom finally decided we should move down the shore. I loved working on the boardwalk in the summer- especially the carousel with the repeating pipe music.

SHG is scheduled for Thursday, HSG and DH's SA and bloodwork are next Thursday.  After that, we're good to get started with IVF #1 as soon as the lab reopens in July!

QOTD:  I remember shopping with my grandmother for summer clothes every year.  My mom hates to shop, so that was my special time with my grandmother every year.

Hi ladies! I'm jumping over here after a less-than-awesome first cycle in May. My follicles were slow to grow and my lining did not respond at all. We only ended up with one frosty and are probably going to end up doing another fresh cycle so we can bank more embryos (assuming we can get more). I'm currently waiting for AF so I can be put back on BCPs. With the timing of things coming up, it looks like I'll be cycling again in August.

QOTW: I can't think of a specific summer memory, but I'll always remember summers as time for hanging out with friends and family. I try to make sure to get back home to visit everyone at least once a year.

Nothing new. Still waiting to do DH's SA next month and then our app with the RE. I just want to move on to the next phase already. I almost want to say that I don't care if the arimidex improves DH's spermies, I just wanna do IVF already! :P I'm soo sick of waiting. Can't you tell I'm getting frustrated? lol

Hello, Dreamers,

I'm hoping to start my 2nd IVF cycle in July.  For my first we had a good retrieval, but bad fertilization, so we're planning on IVF with ICSI for our next cycle.  I just had a D&C on Monday, so I'm waiting on AF and our WTF appointment (scheduled 6/13 - Friday the 13th :P ).

QOTW: Favorite summer memory - no specific memory comes to mind, but as a teen, I worked at the local amusement park, Great Adventure.  Despite the horrible uniforms (puffed sleeves and bow ties), I had so much fun and made great friendships.  As I sit in my stuffy cubicle-filled office building as an adult, I think about that job, and working in the fresh air, and I sigh into my keyboard.
