DS was so happy that we had "cue bobby" for dinner the other night. He kept repeating it over and over, until I finally figured out that he was trying to say "barbeque." I love all his new words!
GTKY: I love that so many of my friends are teachers and summer time means that we suddenly have time to get together for lunch or hanging out by the pool.
It makes me smile that L is completely back to normal. I know they aren't harmful, but after his febrile seizure yesterday he was as limp as a newborn when we brought him to the hospital. But today he's been crawling around everywhere and playing with his water table.
IMMS that we were able to go to a wedding over the weekend and the ILs watched DS at the hotel without major incident. I was afraid because he has only seen them a handful of times in his life. I even got to take DS swimming for the first time at the hotel. If he slept at night it would have been a wonderful few days away.
also, IMMS to see how in love my mom is with DS. Since we went away on Thursday she went Monday-Saturday without seeing him. The look on her face when I surprised her at Church on Saturday was priceless. This is the longest she has gone without seeing him since he was born. The two of them were just so happy and content to be back together again. DS just sighed contentedly and laid his head down on her during church. So cute.
We had the most normal weekend ever. Quality family time, decent weather, DS napped well and we avoided any major meltdowns. DH and I even managed to have a relaxing conversation with icy drinks in the back yard while DS slept. I think it was the first time we have done that in a very long time.

This sounds amazing! I can't remember the last time we had a "normal" weekend. I don't think we'd even know what to do with ourselves.

I know, right? We usually spend our weekends recovering from the week and then getting ready for the next one, and just generally reacting to life. It felt nice to have a conversation with DH for a change, that wasn't constantly being interrupted by DS.
Oh AND ... I made my first jar of beeswax lotion today. I used this recipe, but used grapeseed oil instead of olive, and added a mix of Vit E oil and EPO at the end. I don't think it will be as thick as Waxelene when it finishes cooling, but now that I've done it once I think I'll be able to tweak it to get the results I want.
IMMS that I am finally having some more luck selling some of my girl clothes off...sold $45 worth over the weekend and selling another $15 today. Yay, me!

Imms after a weekend where LO gave mommy and daddy a cold. I am smiling because I we are all starting to feel good again. I can deal with runny noses, but any more than that and DH is a HUGE donkey hiney. We all are better and my sweet hubby is back. LO didn't seem effected by being sick, she was happy and playing all weekend, naps were just a little longer.
Gtky we generally hit the coast for a few days.other than that is pretty normal around here except that I have my niece during the day while my dad is at work. She loves DD and will be a great baby sitter this summer. I naps in my future summer plans!!
IMMS that I had my first beer in a long time while sitting on the back deck with DH yesterday evening. DD1 missed never fell asleep for her nap, so it was a dicey day but she went to bed well so DH and I enjoyed the beautiful weather and I got to enjoy a refreshing summer wheat
GTKY: I love all the fresh produce that summer brings (strawberries, blueberries, peaches, watermelon, fresh corn, etc.), so I am definitely excited about those this summer. And mojitos. Oh, and I'm also really excited that this summer my good friend and I will be able to hang out and have play dates with the kids. She's a teacher, so we're both off work at the same time. She didn't have her son yet last summer, so the dynamics were different, but now we both have kids, so play dates will be a must this year
Imms that P is not only back to her birth weight at 10 days, but is half a pound over! It took E weeks to get back to birth weight. P also took 2.5 ounces at the BFing class this morning. I didn't make that much for E until 12 weeks. I'm so happy my supply and her latch are SO much better this time around.
TTC with PCOS since November 2009

This makes me smile a lot in hopes that we will be able to have a similar success story!!

If it helps, I had a lot easier time with my second as well.
IMMS that little man had spaghetti for the first time tonight and was adorably messy. That we got to go to the aquatic center this weekend and he is starting to love "swimming" in the water. Also he was using his new clapping hands skills to clap when we sang the songs at Tot Shabbat. In non baby mms I finally got to watch the Hobbit 2 on Saturday night because hubby got off work early.
I love everything about summer. I love swimming at the pool or even better on a beach when possible. I love fresh summer produce, gardening, and grilling. I love going to baseball games and hanging out with friends drinking beer outside. I love the seemingly endless days and sunshine.

I love the warmth and just sitting outside reading a book. I also love driving with the windows down.
