GROSS help!

I just tossed a bag full of diapers in the washer. I opened the lid after it started to make sure there was enough water, and I see a huge turd and lots of little turd bits floating on top of a washer full of brown water. SOMEONE put a dirty diper in the pail with out dumping/spraying the poop! I fished out all the big pieces :-& , but I don't know what else to do? Drain it now and start the rinse over? Let it finish and do another rinse? Just let it finish as wash normally? Ew ew ew ew.

Finish and start over would be what I would do.

Yeah, I'd probably just let it finish and do another rinse...maybe two if the water is still brown. Also, I hear aquarium nets are helpful for fishing poop out of bathtubs and washers...just in case (heaven forbid) it happens again.

For anyone else taking care of DS, I leave a travel wet bag on the changing table, with a post it note on the shelf clearly saying to put poopy diapers in the small bag. Maybe try that? But, ew, gross...

DH had DS pretty much all day today (major rarity), and DS wound up pooping 3 times (another rarity). I'm pretty sure this means there are 3 poopy diapers waiting for me in the guest bath upstairs, but since I haven't smelled them yet, I'm totally holding out to check until tomorrow. Yes, I am a slacker.
