Babies on the Brain

Newbie here, first post, couple ?s

Hi ladies! I normally post to the nest but decided its time to move here since hubby and I have baby fever and are planning to TTC end of July. I'm 26 he is 29 and we have been married 4 and a half years, we both work from home and have some fun travels planned for summer so we feel after that its time for a little one, and are both super excited! I don't really have any clue about what I should be doing to get my body ready, I have lost 60lbs and want to lose about 15 more before hand but I'm so nervous about gaining a lot of weight back. I don't have many people to talk to about all of this sine I'll be the first out of both of our families to have a baby (I'm the oldest) which means first grand baby for our family and I don't have too many close friends since highschool so I hope I can get some help : D

I've heard mixed suggestions so I'm curious if

1. Should we go to the dr and have bloodwork done to check everything out its been a few years since we have,
also I had my yearly gyno in December everything is fine but should we go again to talk baby?

2. What prenatals do you recommend

3. Thoughts on charting

Any advice is welcome, I know I can find a lot of the answers on the site, its all just a little overwhelming : D thank you in advance

Hello and welcome!! To answer your questions:

    1) No. It will be a huge waste of your money and your doctor's time. If you were healthy at your Well-Woman check-up, there's nothing else you need to know. There is nothing your doctor can say to you to help. I had my WW check-up in January, and at that time I told her we would be start trying this fall. I told her I am taking PNVs and will be temping, and asked if there was anything else I should do. She said "Nope, call me when you're pregnant."

    2) Personally, I hate swallowing pills, and I guess PNV pills are huge. So I take gummies. I really like my VitaFusion gummy PNVs. I get them at Walgreens. If you're going to start trying in July, I would start taking PNVs now.

    3) My thoughts on charting: do it. I find it comforting to know what is going on with my body. I want to know if/when I am ovulating. It won't be such a guessing game then.
