7dpo waiting for some symptoms.....

Hi ladies I'm new to the bump. :) I am 7dpo and wondering when I will start t experience some symptoms if in fact I am Prego!!! I am about 30 lbs. overweight and have been working desperately to shed the extra weight but we can't weight much longer to be new parents! This will be my first pregnancy so I'm trying not to read into too much of what I am experiencing. I have been have light cramps. Well you can't really call them cramps more like.......pricks I guess sounds about right, all week long starting 3dpo, but nothing other than that.

When did you ladies experience your early pregnancy symptoms? Also does anyone know if being over weight will delay any pregnancy symptoms as well?

Pregnancy symptoms and PMS are pretty much the same...the difference being a positive HPT. 3DPO is way too early for any pregnancy symptoms, even 7DPO is, since a fertilized egg doesn't implant till 7-10DPO. Symptoms differ woman to woman so it really is hard to compare. Mine didn't hit till weeks after finding out.

If you're truly 7DPO, wait a few days and test with a pink dye HPT. TTC can really mess with your head since it's super easy to notice and read into every symptom. GL.

This. And, no. Being overweight does not have any affect on when or if you have any pregnancy symptoms.

I'm confused. You found out your were pregnant at 7DPO and you had pregnancy symptoms at 3DPO? That makes no sense. The egg doesn't implant until 7-10DPO and sometimes it takes a couple more days for there to be enough HCG to pull a positive test. There would be no way you were experiencing pregnancy symptoms at 3DPO or even 7DPO. How do you know when you ovulated? Were you temping? If not then you don't know when you ovulated for sure. Symptoms are different for each woman. I barely had any symptoms with my son. I heard most symptoms start at 7 weeks but again, it varies.
  • Thank you for the information ladies. I haven't been tempting but I have been using ovulations test. I guess the waiting will need to continue! lol
  • Since you're only using OPKs, there is a chance you aren't 7DPO. OPKs only detect a surge in hormone, not ovulation itself, so it is possible to have positive OPKs more than once per cycle. Temping is the only way you will be able to confirm ovulation so it's worth looking into if you don't get pregnant this cycle.

  • Really? I will definitely look into that! :)
  • This my first pregnancy.  I am about 10# overweight.  A week after my first positive HPT test (13 dpo), I had mild symptoms of a pulling pain in my uterus (so that was 20 dpo).  The prick pain is probably ovulation pain if it is one sided, that is what mine felt like for about 3-4 days ovulation day and after.  Luckily 7 weeks so far, I've have yet to feel nausea.  Bloating was a strong symptom at week 5-6.

  • My early pregnancy symptoms were similar to PMS, but more exaggerated.I packed on about six pounds in the first week or so, much more than I normally pack on before my period.

I also didn't poop for three days straight, I mean literally no poop.  That was extremely unusual.

3dpo my breasts were extremely tender beyond anything I've ever experienced in PMS.  I do get tender breasts throughout my cycle, but this was MUCH worse than what I normally experience.

I had a lot of tugging/cramping in my uterus, but I get that anyway with my endometriosis.

So, I guess looking back, it was really the not pooping and the very tender breasts that were the biggest clue for me. Oh, also, I couldn't stop eating meat, whereas normally I would want sweets before my period. Those first few weeks, I felt like I couldn't get enough cheeseburgers, steak, lamb kabobs, etc.

You probably weren't pooping because you were eating so much meat.

True that!!!  lol  although the meat eating increased mostly after the no-pooping but there certainly could have been a connection.
