My mom has been in town for a few days...she sleeps in ds's room when she's here. Since yesterday was my birthday she was trying to be nice to me and let me sleep......so I find out over breakfast that ds was having trouble breathing and she thinks he would even stop breathing momentarily. WTF. Dh told her that it wasn't her call to stay up with ds to monitor him for something that serious without checking with us. So tonight ds is going to bed with me....... Then, I took ds in to ped's office. We saw a NP that prescribed a medication that the drs don't prescribe as it doesn't really help and the pharmacist called the on call dr due to the dose she had prescribed was a dose larger than what is prescribed for a 6year-old...so dh and I decided that WE are going to monitor ds tonight and if we notice breathing issues like mom reported we're just going to take him in asap instead of waiting until morning. I couldn't even tell you what irritates me more.

The first is irritating, the second I think is beyond that! I hope it's nothing!

Wow I'm so sorry. I would be beyond irritated. I hope that it turns out to be nothing serious.

Wow, that's terrible. I hope you get some answers soon, and I think I'd be throwing a fit at your doctor's. It sounds like that NP should not be seeing patients unsupervised.
