How many diaper covers?

I used cloth with my son but used pockets and AIOs. I bought a couple flips for him a little while ago and love them. I'm currently expecting baby #2 and looking to build a stash for her. This time I'm hoping to use mostly covers like my Flips. How many should I have in my stash? Thank you!

Whenever you can finally make yourself stop buying them. I currently have 34 diapers, it definitely enough.

I use flats and covers and I had 8 but have pulled two to maybe sell so I'm at 6.....and even though I haven't run out, I am feeling a bit low on covers.....so I'd have to say at least 6

I'm with pipsqueak - if you're looking to stay budget-friendly, 6 would be good.  I think most of us have more than we "need"

Thank you, ladies! I'm currently at 4 so I'll probably grab 4 more. But, you all are right, there are too many cute ones! I don't know that I'll be able to stop at 4 more. Haha!

I have 2 in cloth and use all prefolds/flats/WHs under covers.  Currently I have 8 NB covers and 17 OS covers.  The number of OS is excessive for 1 kiddo but soon we will be selling our NBs and have 2 in OS.  So ideally I think 8-9 per child is a good number.

Seriously though I think 6-8 covers you love is a good number. It took me trying like 8 different brands/styles to find what I love though. Also I've liked different things as LO has grown and changed physically and developmentally. For example I loved my Best Bottoms from like 2 months until around 18 months. Now he's almost outgrown the rise. So I think realistically I've had more like 12-15 covers I "needed" from 2 months to 20 months...and a bunch more diapers I wanted.

I have 13 OS and 5 Size 1s... And I'm buying another one off someone.... I'm justifying everything by saying I will have 2 in cloth tho...

I refuse to count my diapers! I don't want to know how many I have. I really need to sell all of the NB stuff I bought that we weren't able to use along with all of the stuff we don't love.

I have 4 NB covers and that's really pushing it. If I'm lucky I make it to laundry day with one but I'm gambling. 6 would be more better. Luckily I have 6 OS covers.

Should there be a baby #2 I will get a couple more.
