Nausea

I'm in my 7th week and nausea keeps getting worse each day. I've been trying to see which foods I can stomach and which may help dissipate the pain. Am getting pretty tired of saltines and ginger ale. Anyone have any other suggestions??

  • I'm still waiting on the cure myself.  This sucks!

  • Okay, well unfortunately its a hit or miss really. I have done really well with cantaloupe and Honey dew, bland food might work the good old rice with boiled chicken. Have you tried actual ginger. You can purchase ginger candy at trader joes or whole foods or you could use my more aggresive route of ginger root cut off a sliver and chew for a lil bit then swallow.  You can make tea out of ginger root, honey and lemon as well.  My girlfriend swore by peppermint tea and mommy pops, they are nausea lollipos.

Try eating multiple smaller meals through out the day sometime more frequent eating will deter the nausea.

I also had luck with taking my prenatals everyday. Not saying your not, just if you forget them or not taking them at regular intervals it may not help with the nausea.

Good Luck...and I will say my nausea came less often the longer along I have got. Your lil one is causing chaos in your body and its reacting..just try and stay positive.

  • I was put on meds...starts with an F. It makes me super super tired though....like sleep all day and can't wake up or get up.  I have noticed that lots of small meals is helping me.  bagels, toast, crackers, rice, bland stuff....that's helping me.  I also read something that taking a walk in the fresh air helps.  I'm going to start trying that too.

Thankfully it hasn't set in yet for me. During my last pregnancy I remember a lot of bready foods. A lot of toast, Chicken nuggets/tenders, crackers, bagels...not the healthiest but the only things I could really stomach! Actually I remember a lunch that I often took to work would be a cheese sandwich...two pieces of bread w/one slice of cheese in between. lol YUMMY ;)
Maybe some dry cereal for snacks too?
